Listed below are a number of past featured Ned Kelly related videos from our home page that we just couldn't let go (well, until they are deleted off YouTube).

Ned Kelly by Waylon Jennings
A YouTube contributor by the name of 'teddie488' features a video production of the Waylon Jennings's song 'Ned Kelly' from the 1970 self titled movie soundtrack starring that freaky drug-addled skinny kid Mick 'The Lips' Jagger.

Archaeological Dig at Glenrowan
Here is aChannel Ten report on the (now completed and filled back in) archaeological dig on the site of the Jones Inn, scene of the 1880 Siege of Glenrowan (marvel at the complete lack of understanding Gary Dean shows when it comes to how fires 'breathe').

Rolf Harris and Ned Kelly
Here's that bearded child loving AustBrit Rolf Harris whose forsaken his wobble board for a paint brush to whip up a Ned Kelly portrait while a soundtrack of him singing about Ned plays in the background (riveting stuff) during an episode of 'The Rolf Harris Show' which aired on the BBC on 7th November, 1970.

Ned Kelly on eBay
Here's an animated Ned Kelly doing some sort of spiel for eBay about email scams, because according to the auction monolith, '...online scammers can cause you some pretty big hassles. And the old school bad guys aren't too happy about these up-starts stealing their thunder in the badness stakes...' Yeah, I'd be scared too if I was a spammer!

The Jerilderie Letter by Ned Kelly
Presenting Peter Finlay's The Jerilderie Letter by Ned Kelly. Jerilderie Productions brings to life an Australian national treasure, Ned Kelly, who through the voice of Finlay, passionately articulates his pleas of innocence and his desire for justice for his family and other poor Irish Catholics. Protesting their treatment by the police, banks and English settlers, ably backed up by the music of Malcolm Hill.

A (Very) Brief History of the Bushranger Ned Kelly and the Kelly Gang
Sit back and enjoy A (Very) Brief History of the Bushranger Ned Kelly and the Kelly Gang, from heli9 which was awarded 'Best Film' and nominated for 'Best Animation' in the Brickfilms Historical Fiction Contest. Apparently all of the paintings are reproductions of real pieces of art from the work of Sidney Nolan. I wonder if Sid knows that....

Nurofen Ned Kelly
Here's the Nurofen Ned Kelly, a kind of bastardised slant on the siege of Glenrowan (minus the Gang). This Kelly reel features a few cheap laughs and a reasonable on-location shoot (I'm guessing they had a bit of money to play with in their budget). Apparently this commercial was directed by David Denneen for Filmgraphics Productions in Sydney so feel free to send him your regards (among other things).

Bob Hempel
Presenting Bob 'a brain box is what I am' Hempel who apparently is keen to get 'a internet' but 'knows nothing about it'. Bob runs the animated Glenrowan bushranger show. The same one that was ridiculed on The Late Show by Tony Martin and Mick Molloy. Buyer beware, Bob uses very colourful language but 'if you don't like it you can have your money back'. If that's the case then Bob owes us all, big time...

'The Story of Ned Kelly' DVD
This is PicturePond's short teaser for their documentary The Story of Ned Kelly which features a narrative by Charles "Bud" Tingwell and commentary by Ian Jones. If you like what you see then head over to our Shop section and pick yourself up a copy.

'Ned Kelly' by Rebel Machine
Says Rebel Machine, "I visited the NSW gallery and saw the paintings by Sydney Nolan. I was inspired to write a song and create a video to help tell the story."

'Ned Kelly' by Bridgeypoo
Straight from the horse's mouth (or bum) Bridgeypoo comments, "Ned Kelly capture reenactment! Ha ha. Don't ask."

'Ned Kelly Animation' by RubbaDucky123

This is Monty Letho's clay animation of Ned Kelly he completed for a school assignment based on the paintings of Sidney Nolan with an extract from the poem The Bushrangers by Edward Harrington.

'Wild Colonial' Boy by Mick Jagger
Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones who starred as Ned Kelly in the 1970 film Ned Kelly sings Wild Colonial Boy.

Cast of 'Ned Kelly' interviews
Featuring giiiiiibbooo's video highlighting Orlando Bloom and Heath Ledger. Maybe when they posed the original questions to the actors they could have also asked, 'Why use Robert Dewe's book?'

Men at Work
Ned Kelly as seen by alliewolfgal, set to the music of Men At Work and using a number of photos from Heath's movie and a couple which look very similar to the ones found here at Ironoutlaw.com (yes, I'm sure she's paying royalties...).
TALKING SENSE
While not everyone wants to read about Ned Kelly or the ANZACs or even The Great Depression, we hope they want to learn something about Australian History. From the ex-Prime Minister John Howard to a confused ex-NSW Education Minister Carmel Tebbutt (see the ex-pattern here?) a number of politicians have jumped on the teaching history bandwagon. But at what cost? From Right Wing Liberals to the multitude of State Governments, seems everyone has an agenda. We'd like to let the readers decide what is worth learning. Here at IronOutlaw.com we present the facts, the fiction and everything in between. It all adds to the experience and hopefully makes History an exciting place to be while also proving it needn't always have to be written by the victors.
