Ironoutlaw: The Video Game

The story line follows Matt Barry, a seemingly inconsequential university student majoring in Australian history. As assistant night curator at the Old Melbourne Gaol, Matt decides to don the famous armour of Ned Kelly little realising the outcome. Struck by lightening Matt wakes dazed and confused, and with no sign of Australia’s most famous artefact! Valued at over 100 million dollars, Matt is accused of theft and is now on the run from the police. Cornered at a train station he makes a break for it across the tracks and gets hit by a forty carriage freight train! The train derails but Matt escapes. Seems the armour hasn’t vanished entirely ... Meanwhile, in central Australia, an ancient evil stirs under the weight of it’s primordial tome, Uluru. Cracks have appeared in it’s prison thanks to recent underground mining. Buried for over a millennia, this obliterator of human life now has a new food source ... Six and a half billion of them! Can Matt Barry come to terms with his new found powers in time to discover a way to defeat the coming Darkness?

Ironoutlaw is a Third Person Shooter, action and adventure title with an original, unpredictable, Sci-Fi story line featuring single and co-op game play, with a heavy focus on realism. Designed exclusively for the Sony PlayStation 3 console, Ironoutlaw will take advantage of the system’s powerful graphics engine capabilities, allowing for a greater scope in the development of the software title. Ironoutlaw will utilize the Unreal Engine, so gamers will benefit from a number of graphical advances such as normal mapping, global lighting, and Artificial Intelligence Implant which is an incredible tool for scripting advanced AI.

Ironoutlaw combines unique features with the highest quality in game visuals and animations to deliver an experience unlike any other. It is a serious, well-researched science fiction FPS that gives a realistic vision of what mankind’s reaction to an inalienable threat may be like. How the character interacts with his environment and the people around him will determine if he becomes a hero or an outcast. Choices made through the campaign will decide if Matt ultimately fights on the side of good or evil.

While the game Ironoutlaw is based on an open ended ‘sand box’ theme, where the player is free to explore his surroundings unimpeded, there is a requirement to complete certain tasks in order for the player’s character to advance to the next level. There will be a total of twelve levels supplied on the game disc with an additional six levels available to purchase from the PSN to be released over the following six months to extend game life. If a player selects to only complete the core tasks, the game will take approximately 30 hours. However, if all side adventures and easter-eggs (bonuses) are also included the single-player game could take up to three times as long. Online multi-player value is unlimited, as new tasks and adventures will be presented to the players each week by fellow gamers via our online community.
